I am sort of on the fence about how practical this is, but my boss now has said that he will sign a contract with me if I do it. I am looking at the costs, mainly how much it will cost me to start up the business. I will need a small fleet of vehicles, probably just a single type of van of some sort. Then I would need to figure out what the auto insurance rates would be and how to go about hiring about half a dozen people. I am thinking that there should be a good number of people like me, retired and bored to put it bluntly. The job is relatively simple to start with, but it could get pretty complicated or it could also blow up and dry away. So it is pretty risky. I am already doing it. In fact it started out as happenstance. I was dropping by the shop to check on things, mostly because I was bored. While I was there, Mr Parker asked me if I would mind driving down to a little town near Raleigh and Durham. Of course that is where his big customer is and as usual they had to have a box of parts in a desperate hurry.
That is typical. That day it was literally a shoe box sized order that a five year old child could have carried. Other days you might have them shouting about half a ton of different things. I do not have to really touch the stuff though. I just sit around and wait for them to scream. I only live about three or four miles from the shop, so I used to walk to work to save gas and get some exercise. I can jump in my truck and be backed up to the dock in minutes.Click For More Information
